Questions for a first neurology visit

If I think something's wrong, what's the protocol — when do I call you, when do I go to the ER, and who do I reach out to first?
How much of your practice is MS, versus other neurology?
When you start someone on treatment, do you usually start with a strong medication right away or build up gradually? What are the trade-offs?
Will I see you each visit, or sometimes a PA or NP?
What's the best way to reach you between visits — portal, phone, email?
How do you handle telehealth — can routine follow-ups be video visits?
Will I have access to my visit notes and MRI reports through a portal?
What's the regular monitoring schedule — MRIs, bloodwork, follow-ups? Are there things insurance requires?
Is there a nurse or coordinator I can reach between visits, including when you're away?
What other specialists should I be seeing?
How much do exercise, diet, and vitamin D actually matter for MS — what would be worth the effort?
